Amy E. Ose is in her third year as the Director of Vocal Music at Marshalltown High School. She directs the Treble
Choir and Concert Choir, as well as the two MHS show choirs, Encore and South Side Transit. As an alum and former staff member
of the State Fair Singers and Jazz Band (presently known as Celebration Iowa), Mrs. Ose particularly enjoys working in the
show choir realm.
In addition to her responsibilities to the Vocal Department, Mrs. Ose also serves as the Musical
Production Assistant Director in the MHS Theatre Department. Productions have included "South Pacific" (May 2006), "Fiddler
On The Roof" (December 2006) and "Oklahoma!" (December 2007).
Prior to joining the MHS staff, Mrs. Ose taught at the middle school level in Marshalltown and Fergus Falls, MN.
She has also taught at the elementary level in both Iowa and Kansas. Beyond the world of MHS, Mrs. Ose is actively involved
in her church where she directs the adult church choir and has lead a music component for confirmation students as part of
their confirmation studies.
When she is not busy with her many music activities, Mrs. Ose enjoys spending time at home with family, including
her Siberian Husky, Sinda and Tony the cat. Many hours are also spent tending her flower and vegetable gardens.
Mrs. Ose also enjoys traveling and has had the opportunity to travel with her husband, David, both in and out of
the country; most recently traveling to San Jose del Cabo, Mexico in July 2007 where Mrs. Ose became a certified scuba
diver.
